Of all the books ever written, The Bible remains the greatest source of truth. Check here each week for new scripture to encourage you.

Reference: Acts 8:35
Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.

Responding to God

Philip was a man led by God, and at the same time, he was an ordinary man.

When God's Spirit told Philip to go stand near a chariot just a few verses ahead of this one, the reference in verse 30 says he "ran up to the chariot."

Philip was open to being led by God and as he responded in obedience, God gave him the opportunity to share his faith with a man whose culture was different from his own.

We can take away two lessons from this passage.

First, do we hear God's voice when he asks us to tell others about His Son?

Second, are we responsive?

Once Philip shared the gospel with the man in Acts 8, the man responded in faith.

Likewise, our response to God is contagious, and it is how the Kingdom of God advances.

Don't you wonder how many other people came to know Christ from this one encounter?
