Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.

Life's Passion

Within these two verses, we learn about the stability of God's Kingdom. Nothing can shake it. No one can destroy it. It is eternal.

As believers come together in worship, God's Spirit kindles a flame that ignites a passion to share the good news of the Gospel. Once we catch a glimpse of who God is and how He has saved us, we want to live our moments as if they count, our minutes as if they add up, and our days glorifying the One who made us.

We begin to understand how God is a consuming fire.
