"Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples." - Psalm 96:3

Photograph of Cassian Basically, I was like all the other people...lost. But He found me, washed me clean, changed my name and my destination, and now I'm in His service! :)

I was born into a Christian family. Mom had a huge role during my childhood in my later decision to follow Christ. I can still remember how she read my brother and me Bible stories before we went to bed. So we were raised in a Christian setting. Although I am sure it influenced me in a good way, it isn't why I am now a follower of Christ. But this is because I can clearly remember how I heard Him speak to my heart; how He told me that I am sinful even though I prayed before I went to bed, even though I did all those "repented" things.

I thought that if I was doing all these things, then I would be going to Heaven because I was good. Now I know I wasn't repented, and I know I had so much problems. [Well, I still have problems, but the way I see them has changed dramatically. And that is because of what God is working in me.]

I can remember how I was so selfish, proud and did so many things that I am ashamed of! I don't know how much it would help to post them here, but one thing I DO know: once I accepted God into my heart and asked Him to forgive me, He cleaned me. He erased all the sins, and I became free! So I understood that without Him I'm nothing, dead, without hope, and I chose to follow Him, but not only that! He is my Saviour, my Leader, my Protector, and everything that I will ever need. I am thankful for that from the bottom of my heart.

Now my life is different. If before I used to do all the things He didn't like, now I do things He wants me to do through His power and guidance. I fight the good fight of faith and I know Jesus has been, is and is going to be, victorious! I await His second coming so I can meet Him face-to-face and be with Him for eternity!

I truly believe as Christians we are called to be different in this world - different as Christ was different in His setting. May we all serve Him, being true Christians wherever He has placed us and being focused on what He wants us to be.

And now some photographic history of my life - my grandfather and father were photographers, and so you see it sounds so story-like. While my father and grandfather were photographers, so are my favourite uncles. So I could say it 'runs in the family.'

I've been amazed at this world of photography since I was a kid - the way you can surpress thousands of words in a glimpse - the feelings you can stir up with a blink of an eye. It is simply fascinating. And I believe we can see God in another way as well, through photography.

I love taking photos, and I can't imagine my life without a camera. I'm just an amateur, but I am looking for ways to get higher on the photographic scale. :)

Oh, and one more thing - I was so amazed to hear about this site! I am so thankful for Christians with whom I have so much to share.

Lots of Blesses!

Love in Jesus Christ,
Cassi
