Before I accepted Jesus' gifts of love, relationship, salvation and eternal life (among others!)...I was wandering in the fog of the world and in my own thoughts on how life should be lived. Basically: do what I want, when I want, with whom I want.

Let me tell you - self-centeredness equals an empty life. The amazing thing is that Jesus pursued my heart over and over again until the lights went on in my mind, heart and soul: "He really loves me! Despite the junk stuff I've done. He sees my deeper heart that's more akin to His, and wants to help me be more like Him! Whoa." So who wouldn't want to follow so much love? So much patience? So much mercy and compassion? And He's still doing the same thing with me, patiently, lovingly, every day: pursuing me, wooing me, breaking me, reshaping me, healing me, dealing with me. I love Him.
