I've come to know Jesus slowly as I've matured. My first encounter was in preparing for my First Communion as a young Christian Catholic. I remember confessing my sins to Jesus with all my heart and asking for His forgiveness, and the most amazing presence of the Holy Spirit came in and around me. It happened to another kid in my class as well called William. Anyway there was no real follow-up and I lost interest, but God didn't let go of me.

Late teens, with life a real mess, God tightened His hold that had been on me quietly all those years, and eventually I recommitted my life to Him and later had an adult baptism.

It's not been easy, I've had a lot of issues and a lot of anger but chip by chip, He's kept at work on me and after many years despite all the old mess, everything is coming together.
