I was born in Ohio and have been involved in sharing God's Good News with others since I first accepted Christ in 1985, coming out of a life of partying and rock-and-roll. I first became involved in missions when I went on a short-term missions trip to Santarém, Brazil, where I spent three-and-a-half months and during which time I met Luciene, who was to become my wife.

After some training with Last Days Ministries, I went to Haiti with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and lived in an inner city mission in Deep Ellum in Dallas, Texas, ministering to people on the street, before returning to Brazil.

Luciene and I were married in 1993, and the following year we moved to the United States due to a lack of financial support, and to get more involved in a local church, Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Columbus, Ohio. It was while we were there that I participated in the Columbus Vineyard Leadership Institute, called VLI. God used this time to prepare me to lead kinships, small groups, minister to AIDS patients, and to become involved in a writing ministry.

In February 2001, the Vineyard Tuttle Crossing sent us out as long-term missionaries, and we moved to Macapá, right on the equator in the Amazon Basin in Brazil with our two daughters, Hannah and Raquel. Since then, God has further blessed us with two sons, both of whom have been born in Brazil, Josiah and Nicolas.

My grandfather was a professional photographer, and my dad is an amateur photographer. I received my first camera as a present from my dad, a Pentax K1000. I now use Leica, one digital, and one manual.

Luciene and I are currently serving Christ through a children’s ministry, evangelism, Bible studies, medical missions, and church planting. You can read more about what God is up to in our lives at http://www.holylamb.com/. We would appreciate your prayers.
