Ansel Adams was sometimes asked when he took one of his most famous pictures, "Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico." He would respond by saying, "Anywhere from 1940 to 1944."

Like Ansel Adams, I do not remember the date or even the year when I accepted Jesus into my life. I know that I was young, and it was one of the most exciting days of my life; but more than that, my memory will not permit.

Since I was saved at a young age, I didn't really have the opportunity to "get into trouble." For this, I am thankful. My family first attended church with my grandfather and after that time, they began attending church on a regular basis.

For me, there was no big event but rather the gradual realization that Jesus loves me, always would and had looked past and forgiven me of my sins.

Since then, things have only become more difficult. I suppose the reason for this is because there are far more temptations to deal with in high school and then in college; but I think it is easier having been saved at a young age and there having been more time to "anchor" myself in Jesus.

When one creates art, it is an expression of himself. It reveals a person's likes, dislikes, morals and core beliefs. For this reason, as Christian artists we have the unique opportunity to express ourselves and thereby express the One who lives within us through our work. To that end, I would like to thank those who make this site possible and a Savior who loves us unconditionally and believes in who we are and what we do even when others don't.
