Photograph of Pauline Although I went to church as an older child and teenager, it was not until my sons became committed Christians whilst they were at University that I too decided to again attend church on a regular basis. I could see from their lives what faith in the Lord had done for them in various ways. They were truly instrumental in my becoming baptised at the grand age of 50.

The Lord has always been there for me bringing me through the trials and pain of hospitalisation during my middle and late teens to correct a curvature of the spine. Once I was able to take up an active lifestyle again, courting, getting married and raising a family, I'm sorry to admit that the Lord took a back-seat in my busy life. I had so much to thank the Lord for, correcting my curvature and giving me a wonderful loving husband and two sons to be proud of. He's still working in my life and I have many things to be grateful for, therefore he deserves much more than a back-seat!!
My husband and I both attend a local Christian Centre and have become involved with helping a group for the elderly called New Beginnings. One of its aims is to try to show you are never too old to ask the Lord into your life. It is so much better though, if you make this commitment whilst you are still young so the Lord has longer to work in your life. We are weak in our own strength, but with the Lord to help us nothing is impossible.
The Lord has given us a beautiful world to live in with many diverse landscapes, cultures and peoples to photograph. As Christians, we can use our gift of photography to publicise the many problems caused by the human race, with the hope we can change people's attitudes.
