Ademola - Nigeria

Nickname: Demola

I thought I was doing everything by myself without praying until I was assigned to cover the Sharia riot in Kaduna, northern Nigeria, where many lives were lost and properties were destroyed. I was about to be attacked by the militant youth with ammunitions, but God came to my rescue. No food, no water, but God provided towards the night. Since then, I learnt how to put my life in His care.

In the year 2003, He revealed Himself to me again in the same manner after I returned to sinful activities, this time it was terrible.

I was given another assignment on coverage of inter-tribal war between two tribes in the same community (Ijaw and Itshekiri) in Warri, south Nigeria. I was physically assaulted, my camera, money, jewelry, and communication equipment were forcefully collected from me. The militants were dragging me to their base for what they knew they could have done to me when a man came to my rescue, put me in his car to a safety side. The man was later shot dead.
