Photograph of David Hi, I am Soo ok (David). I was born and lived for 34 years in Seoul, Korea, not married. I accepted the Lord when I was 26 years old, in 1996 by my old friend,Yong sang (Justin).

After many years passed, I could believe that was God's calling. He had waited my time until I come to Him and then, I had changed through my wild life of the past. I have grown like a little child in my church for 8 years.

When I worked in an architect's office (I graduated from two colleges architectural departments), I had learned photography by myself as a hobby in 1998. Those days I had an interest in people's portraits because I spent much time at church on the weekends. In fact, I didn't care about missions before mission trip India 2002, my first missions trip.
It happened a friend's proposal needed a photo for mission public relations. I just had an interest in this proposal because it is "India" that is an interesting place, and I stayed in Kolkata for 9 days. In this time, I had a variety of experiences, but I have to ask a question to God...what should I take a photo of in India? So I try to accomplish that through His eye's power and had prayed in pushing the shutter button.

When I returned to Korea, I found I was able to realize His work by my right hand. I can prove to you about my tesimony, the photography which I took in those days I had a vision about, missions photo as a photographer - but this vision is not like a highway road. Some people don't realize its potential power. So I don't know how to make God's work, I am at a loss. Nevertheless, I know that someone must do that, as a part of God's work.

So before I departed on my second missions trip to Nepal in 2004, I promoted a website about mission photos. Peter, a friend of mine, and I went on India missions trip in 2002 together. It is Peter who motivated me with the idea to make a missions photo website. He, Peter, knows well the need for photography for missions work because he had visited Nepal 3 times as a missions team leader. He wanted to learn photography. I can help him with that, so we worked together. We have done missions photo work safely by His effort and through prayer. I could learn a lesson from it, that God leads us His way.

Mission photos cannot be done without passion, love, sacrifice, and patience in the Lord. I will complete His work as God's servant from this moment to forever.
