YWAM ARGENTINA AND PHOTOMISSION COME TOGETHER FOR THE GOSPEL

Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, USA - Buenos Aires, Argentina - In a spirit of international collaboration, two Christian ministries have recently formed a bond to work together.  Last month, Youth with a Mission Argentina (YWAM) hosted a press conference to introduce PhotoMission to members of the Spanish Christian press.  The press conference was held at the National Prayer Centre, located adjacent to the Catedral Metropolitana and the Palacio Municipal at Rivadavia 413 in Buenos Aires.  Journalists representing El Puente, Tiempo Latino and Mercado Cristiano were in attendance.

Several Argentine Christian photographers also attended the meeting to hear how God is using the talents of PhotoMission's members. Speaking on behalf of PhotoMission, Mrs. Connie Wragge said, "The joy of sharing what God is doing through this ministry and being in the world's eighth largest country to tell of it is a fantastic gift from our Lord.  God opened a door for PhotoMission to become known on a fifth continent in a way we could never have imagined."

At the invitation of Miss Veronica Schaab, the director of the School of Journalism for Youth with a Mission (YWAM) Argentina, www.jucum.com.ar, PhotoMission's ministry leader spoke with the help of an interpreter, Mr. Horacio Marcelo Valera.  One of the photographers in the audience, Mr. Adrian Stehlik, subsequently began assisting YWAM with a Buenos Aires publicity campaign, an evangelistic outreach that requires photography to raise awareness of the message.

"We needed a Christian photographer to help us with our work for this campaign," said Miss Schaab. "I had no resource to turn to until God arranged for Adrian to attend the press conference.  It was there I met him and learned of his talents."

PhotoMission is presently supporting the work of Youth with a Mission Argentina to help Miss Schaab attend YWAM's Leadership Training School.  The three-month long program begins March 31st in Guadalajara, Mexico and brings together YWAM leaders from around the world.

"Like all God is doing where this ministry is concerned, we are seeing wonderful friendships form with other ministries," said Mrs. Wragge.  "God is the head of PhotoMission.  We obey and follow Him, wherever He leads us."
