The six-day exhibit was held December 10th - 16th at the Orissa Modern Art Gallery in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India where it was covered by The New Indian Express, The Sambad, The Hindu and Orissa Television. "The photo exhibition is the ministry's first major endeavor," observes Ghani Zaman, vice president, who lives in Bhusbaneswar. "It travels next to Kohima, Nagaland where it will be on display in February." Two other members of the PhotoMission team, Connie Wragge and Ian Homer, went to India to attend the opening of the exhibit. It was also the first time they met Mr. Zaman. The trio traveled for two weeks through Nagaland, Assam, West Bengal and Orissa. "After nearly two years of working electronically, it was a real blessing to spend this time together photographing northeastern India," observes Mrs. Wragge, ministry leader. "We found we are the same people we had grown to know through instant messaging, phone calls and emails." Wragge lives in the United States, while Homer lives in the United Kingdom. "Our plan is that this photo exhibition will be the first of many involving other members of the PhotoMission community," stated Mr. Zaman. "We also hope to organize cross-cultural tours for photographers, especially for members who have an interest in coming to India." "We are committed to serving Christ, and we are committed to working together while living on three continents," explains Mr. Homer, vice president. "If we can organize a photo exhibition in India, we can organize other ones in different parts of the world."
