News ReleaseDated: Apr-17-2003 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Connie Wragge, Ministry Team Leader & President PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCED WITH FLORIDA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, and Winter Park, Florida, USA - Connie Wragge, Ian Homer and Ghani Zaman, founders of PhotoMission, and Margi McCombs, principal and founder of The Community School (TCS) in Winter Park, Florida, today announce the affiliation of their respective organizations. The joint endeavor redefines the model of team teaching through the willingness of PhotoMission's members to serve as online photography tutors for a class of Christian high school students. The association between TCS and PhotoMission began as the school's photography teacher, Ruthy Villavicencio, searched the Internet for an organization of Christian photographers. Finding PhotoMission, she began exchanging emails with Connie Wragge, PhotoMission's ministry leader. Subsequently, a website was designed so the students could upload their photography and receive comments and reviews on it. Five PhotoMission members, four living in the United States and one residing in the United Kingdom, support the students' learning experience. Since TCS and PhotoMission first began working together this semester, three of PhotoMission's members have been privileged to teach the class in person, and the UK member called the students today. Additionally, the fifth member helped Mrs. Villavicencio scan photography for the students' website. "By creating a panel of photographers, my students have benefited from instruction that exceeds what can be found in textbooks. They have also been blessed to make new friendships with fellow believers," commented Ruthy Villavicencio. "We took time to announce the partnership because it took time for the plan to unfold. Now that every aspect is functioning as we envisioned it, we look forward to working with The Community School, its faculty and students in the years ahead," observed Connie Wragge, PhotoMission's ministry leader. |
